When it comes to buying a mobile phone one of the main features we look for is a decent digital camera. While the popularity and novelty value of having a camera on our mobiles has waned in the last few years that doesn’t stop producers from churning out mobile after mobile with camera inbuilt as well as trying to beat the competition when it comes to quality and pixel count. When you compare mobile phone offers online you can pick out the best deals for the new x2.

With the Nokia x2 we weren’t really expecting much when it came to i’s multimedia - retailing at under £100 the x2 is at the budget end of the market and we assumed it’s camera would follow suit - perhaps something akin to the 5288 and 5230‘s 2 mega pixel no flash option. However the Nokia x2 has left everybody pleasantly surprised for it features a 5 mega pixel digital camera with Flash. Surprised? We certainly were. Especially with all the Nokia x2 contracts up for grabs online.

It is strange the number of so called high end or medium market mobiles that come with a half decent camera but no flash option. No doubt many people take photographs at night so with no flash option the quality will be pretty blurry and inferior; this is why the Nokia x2 has a lot going for it. Not only do you get a decent image quality in good lighting conditions - 5 mega pixels is 5 mega pixels after all - but you get a good LED flash meaning that your night time snaps will be as good as those taken in natural light.

While the Nokia x2 isn’t going to put your actual digital camera in the cupboard permanently it is useful enough to snap something when you are out and about; far from being a mobile phone of limited use we are now finding out that for under £100, the Nokia x2 could be on of the buys of the year.

It’s well known that the mobile internet is huge and growing fast; what’s surprising is exactly how fast. According to a recent report, within 5 years more users will connect to the internet via mobile devices than desktop PCs. YouTube consumption on mobile devices has also grown considerably -- playbacks were up 160% in 2009 over the previous year. And we’re excited to announce that YouTube Mobile now receives more than 100 million video playbacks a...
